Our Rental Policy
Welcome to [Your Company Name]! This rental policy outlines the terms and conditions for renting photography equipment from us. Please read carefully before placing a rental order. By proceeding with a rental, you agree to the following terms:
1. Rental Eligibility
- Age Requirement: Renters must be at least 18 years old.
- Identification: A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) is required. The ID must match the name on the rental order.
- Payment: A valid credit or debit card is required for all rentals. Payment must be completed in full before the rental is issued.
2. Rental Duration and Pricing
- Rental Period: Rental periods are calculated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Rentals are charged by the full day, regardless of whether the equipment is used for part of the day.
- Extension of Rental: If you need to extend your rental period, please contact us prior to the original return date. Extensions are subject to availability and additional fees.
- Late Returns: Failure to return equipment on time will result in late fees. Late fees are charged at 10% of the daily rate for each day the equipment is late, up to the total replacement cost.
- Weekend Policy: Equipment rented over the weekend may be eligible for special rates. Weekend rentals typically include pickup on Friday and return on Monday.
3. Rental Process
- Reservations: Equipment can be reserved in advance. A reservation is confirmed once payment is received. We recommend booking early to ensure availability, especially for high-demand items.
- Pickup and Return: Equipment can be picked up at our store or shipped to your location. Please inspect the equipment before leaving the premises.
- Pickup: Rented equipment can be picked up during business hours. If you need the equipment before or after business hours, please contact us to make arrangements.
- Return: Equipment must be returned by the specified return date and time. All accessories, packaging, and original components must be included.
- Shipping: For shipped rentals, we use reliable carriers with tracking. Shipping fees are the responsibility of the renter, and return shipping labels are provided with each order. You are responsible for shipping the equipment back on or before the due date.
4. Rental Equipment Condition
- Equipment Inspection: Before each rental, we thoroughly inspect and test all equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. We ask that you inspect the equipment upon receipt and notify us immediately if there are any issues.
- Care and Maintenance: Renters are responsible for handling the equipment with care. Please do not attempt to clean or repair any equipment yourself. If you experience any problems during your rental, contact us immediately for support.
- Normal Wear and Tear: We understand that normal wear and tear is part of equipment use. However, damage beyond normal wear and tear, or any loss, will be the renter’s responsibility.
5. Loss, Damage, and Theft
- Responsibility for Equipment: Renters are responsible for the care and safeguarding of all rented equipment during the rental period. Equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was received.
- Damage: If the equipment is damaged while in your possession, you are responsible for the repair costs or full replacement cost. We will assess the damage and provide you with a repair or replacement estimate.
- Theft or Loss: In case of theft or loss of equipment, you must notify us immediately and file a police report. You are responsible for the full replacement value of any lost or stolen equipment.
- Insurance: We recommend purchasing insurance coverage for rented equipment. While we do not offer insurance directly, you may be able to add rented equipment to your personal insurance or rent from a third-party insurance provider.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your rental, please contact us at least 48 hours before the rental start date to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the rental start date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Early Return: If you return equipment early, there are no refunds or credits for unused rental days.
- Refund Process: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of the cancellation or return.
